Re: lights and smoke unit

I just pick up a Lionel Legacy CSX AC6000 non powered super bass engine.my lights will flicker when smoke unit is on just head light or tail light.when smoke unit is off lights do not flicker.engine did this when i first got it. then it went a way and now its starting to do again.

Billy,

Does the engine do this everywhere on your layout? If it does try holding your hand over the engine and see if that changes anything. Other than that I would make sure the track,wheels and rollers are clean.

Since the smoke unit draws a significant current, I'd be closely checking connections inside the unit. THe headlight being affected by the smoke unit is the clue. This doesn't sound like signal issues, since the smoke unit shouldn't affect the TMCC signal.
