Lights on only the end powered unit on MTH Turbotrain flicker in a video | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

A MTH Premier Turbotrain set (20-21492-1) arrived recently. It runs fine. However, I noticed when I filmed it on my iPhone, the end powered unit's lights flicker in the video not to the naked eye. The coach and lead unit's lights do not flicker. Same phenomenon when the train runs in wither direction. Why would this appear in a video affecting only one of the lighted units? Faulty capacitor? No pressing issue, just curious. Thanks.

The refresh rate on the digital camera is picking up the flicker of the LEDs on that particular car. Some of it is due to the PWM MTH uses in their lighting circuit. I've noticed the same thing on my PS3 AC6 Cab Forward. The headlight flickers when filmed (not to the naked eye) but none of the other LEDs on the locomotive flicker.

Great looking set Ed. The flickers happen when the video recording speed isn't as fast as the current rates in the train electronics...
