Flyerrich,

What is the make, model, and age of your tablet?

Bluetooth Low Energey (Formerly known as Bluetooth Smart) has been around for quite a while. Mobile operating systems including iOS, Android, Windows Phone and BlackBerry, as well as macOS, Linux, Windows 8 and Windows 10, natively support Bluetooth Low Energy. BLE has been around since Android version 4.3.

OK here's another one. Controlling the new Mikado.  My iPad mini using the LC app runs the engine everything works but the engine name  and number does not appear on the screen.  However, when I use my  Samsung Note 8 with LC plus app the engine name and number is found everything works EXCEPT it wont respond to the throttle. I did notice that the cab interior light flickers.

It's an RCA Voyager from 2015, model RCT6773W42B.

Specs from RCA indicate that your tablet was built circa 2015, I think it is safe to say that the Bluetooth 4.0 from 2010 is included.

I bought a cheap RCA tablet earlier this year from Shopko, I think it too was a voyager but I am not at home to check compatibility with the app right now.
