I know the Lionechief sets come with remotes that run only the enclosed engine. So say a steam set and a diesel set will utilize two different remotes. However, will all the remotes for Penn Steam Freight run all the other Lionchief Penn Steam Freight engines. I.e, could I do a lashup using just one Penn Steam Freight remote but two identical Lionchief Penn Steam Freight engines?

Yes, Jim. One remote will control all engines of the same type and road number. If you have two (or more) of the exact same engine they will both respond to the commands from one remote. If, however the road name/number is different you will need the remotes for both.

They will also have to run in the same direction, which isn't a problem doubleheading steam.
Running diesels back-to-back would not be possible unless you reversed the wires going to the motors.
Best example is the Lionchief FT ABA set. You have to buy the B unit separately which is powered, but it will run off the same remote as the powered A unit. Trainroomgary has a great review of that.

Hi Denny – Thanks for the kind words on one of my You Tube Videos. It means a lot to all You Tube Creators. The lash-up procedures are fun to set up and operate. The head light in the second A unit will come on, when the lash-up is placed into reverse. This short video will demo the head light procedures.
