Lionel 1924 early Super Motor wheels . Lionel "O" 264 / 265 wheels.

We have found a way to make the "Early Lionel Super Motor"  wheels w/ the large gear inexpensively. History suggests there is probably only a limited demand for this wheel, as Bowser Mfg. scrapped their tooling.  Pricing would be about $48.00 a set of 4 pcs.  

I would like to hear back from you guys on the pricing as I need to run quite a few sets to keep the cost down.  

Also what would you think of a new set of black  Lionel "O" wheels as used on the 264 & 265 "Commodore"  locos w/ nickel wrap-a-round rims, ( NOT THE THIN RIM)  w / w/o crank pin lugs ?  These would be a little pricey also at $40.00 a set.  Harry

I think the early 264 rims  would be good. You already do them with the black  qrap around rim, right?  I think I’ve seem some repros with the wide nickel rim that just didn’t look right for some reason.  I think it was the shinyness of the blackened wheel that turned me off.

bottom line it would be good cause I was thinking I would cut some black rims off to install original nickel rims. That would be a pain!

          I have NOS Madison Hardware pieces that Lou sold me years ago. Only problem is that the geared wheels, both plain & w/ the ecc. extension are not available. Seems this is the one most people ask for, and that I do not have.  MTH made them but w/ the WRONG gear cast in. Useless for Lionel. MEW never made. I have seen both nickel & black rims , not sure which or if both are needed. They use the same rims as the 260 , 262 & 262 etc.,  just a matter of plating or blackening.  Harry
