Lionel 2020 Catalogue Vol 2 ... Legacy 4-6-0 Steamer

They are totally different engines, I doubt they share any parts. The Mogul had a simple mechanical issue easily fixed. I have one TMCC and two Legacy ten wheelers. No issues with any of them.

How can anyone answer this question since no one has a new 4-6-0. 

I assume it is the same as the Legacy 4-6-0 that was previously released with just a few updates (Bluetooth, LCS, etc.).  Mine runs like a champ and was my first Legacy Engine.

The moguls and 10-wheelers are two totally different engines. The 4-6-0 cataloged in 2020v2 should be just like the ones cataloged in 2014v2, except with the updated Legacy boards plus whistle steam. The 2-6-0s from 2016 and their issues should not even be related to these new engines.

I am interested in the Texas & Pacific.  Sounds like it should run well!

Did not realize the 4-6-0 ten wheeler was also produced as described in 2014v2 catalog.  Good to know. 

If you all remember I was one of the driving forces to get the last run of moguls fixed which never really got fixed and I received a refund for all my troubles.  
With that said, I have the last run of ten wheelers. Check out my YouTube page for videos of it.  I’m very happy with the ten wheeler. Awesome sounds, awesome performance, everything the legacy mogul is not.   

so mechanically there should be no changes.  Legacy electronics has changed since the last run and they have added whistle steam.  Those shouldn’t be an issue.

Besides the 2014 Legacy engine Lionel did one in 2008. In 2002 they made a TMCC version. All are essentially the same mechanically but all including the yet to be released one will have different electronics. FWIW the 2014 version had a higher list price with fewer features than this one.
