Lionel 21" Full Dome

Since Lionel is doing the theater car in Norfolk Southern, I expect they’ll do the 21” full length dome car in Norfolk Southern.  They’ll probably  do the other cars in the Norfolk Southern business train too.  I can see them doing a set of F7s for the business train as well.

The Big dome is Modeled after Santa Fe Dome car. 

It wouldn't surprise me if Lionel makes a Santa Fe set as the Conrail Dome was ex Santa Fe #55

And/or a Norfolk Southern OCS set either.

NOT to be confused with a Great Northern Super Dome car:

They could also do Iowa Pacific "Prairie View" in Illinois Central chocolate and orange. It's a former Santa Fe car. 

I have the R&N version on order though it will be repainted. I'd probably buy the NS version too.

The "Prairie View" is an ex-GN car, originally.  No letterboard or lower body fluting:

It was originally restored to it's Empire Builder paint scheme:

Yes then Lionel would have to invest in a u33/u36b scale tooling. Hmmm!

dont you think Lionel should figure how to make 21" cars without all the issues BEFORE they make any more??

I think the issues with the cars were drastically over represented on this forum. The same people talked about their problems on every thread about the cars. I'm not denying there were mistakes, but I have a feeling there were lot of good sets out there that people weren't talking about. Nobody posts a topic saying "my new train works how it's supposed to". Same thing happened with the SD40s and NW2s. They're beautiful cars, and I'm sure the folks at Lionel are doing their best to ensure they resolve any issues. I'm looking forward to my dome car.
