Is the coil supposed to vibrate to cause the searchlight to rotate?  Think I have it wired correctly.  Light works but no vibration from coil.  When run, the searchlight rotates very slowly probably because of the vibration from running.  But I'm not sure that's the way it's supposed to work.  I have the third wire grounded.  Greenburg's manual shows light and coil being grounded separately, but I don't know where the grounding wire is for coil.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.  Tom LoPresti

If it has the footed washer it should spin.  Mine spins well when not moving and with reasonably high voltage to the track.  When moving it does spin but very slowly. This seems to agree with most examples I have seen in YouTube videos. Once in a while I see a video of one spinning fast while moving and I have no idea how they make that happen.  The vibrator coil’s vibrations are barely perceptible to me.
