Amazing and remarkable! Over a hundred years old. Does it run? Will you run it?

I believe it is based on the New York Central S2 electric motor. Is that correct? Hope you enjoy it.

It does run - I ran it down a short test track but that's all I have in standard gauge right now, so I don't have a loop or anything to run it on.  But if I do get one set up and some point I will absolutely run it.  I'm not scared.  :-)

I'd really like to find some orange 18/19/190 cars to go with it now!  I don't see them too often!

I didn't know about the S2 at all - learning a little about that now!  Thank you!

Beautiful engine!

Now, of course, "you have taken your first step into a larger world" [apologies to Obi-wan Kenobi]:  the world of Standard Gauge!  Come on over to the Tinplate Forum, grab those cars you're looking for, get a loop of track, and run that train.

But beware:  once you've delved into Standard Gauge, you might find that it captures you and won't let go!
