I've got a pair of little used LTI 022-style switches that stopped working properly. The left hand switch will lock in the straight position and will not move to the curved side. The slide inside the housing will only move on way, it locks itself when I try to move it back.

The right hand switch acts like its not getting any power; it will not operate or light up. I don't remember having these problems with the older postwar 022 switches in the past. Has anyone else had problems with these newer switches?

It has been a while but I did have problems with a couple of newer switches back then. Went to Americas Best was looking to get new coils or something for them. Tony had the whole switch motor assemblies cover lights the whole shot minus the track part. Just bought those was easier to fix and cheaper than buying a whole new switch. Have not had a problem with those since.

Last night I found a couple of older 022 switches that I had stashed away under my layout. Although they haven't been used in nearly 20 years, they still work  fine. These newer LLC 5132/5133 switches had worked great in the past on my previous layout, but when I moved, I had to dismantle the layout and rebuild it in my new home. Now two of those switches are not working properly. The inter workings of the newer version look almost identical to the original 022 switches, but for some reason they just don't seem to be as reliable.  I will try again tonight to find the problem with the newer switches.
