I have a Lionel 5132 switch, It looks great. When I test it, the light works but it only switches in one direction. I took the cover off and all the wiring is in place. The insulator on the right post is cracked but seems to be intact. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

All my switches are 5132/5133 type. They internals are identical to those of the O22. Here is a LINK to the service manual.
Remove the cover and remove the switch machine from the switch body. With the ground connected check that both of the coils are operational by touching accessory power to each of the endmost pins on the frame & coils assembly. If both coils are good check that all four of the pins on the moving contact assembly are making good contact with the fixed contact assembly. Clean the contacts if necessary but don't use abrasives, use electronics contact cleaner.
