Looking for a parts list for a Lionel 6-28857 GP7 (Alaska 1804), both pinions on the can-motors are broken/missing. I can't find anything info on the Lionel site. If I have to purchase an entire truck, I going to look for pinions of the correct size and pitch from places like McMaster-Carr. Anyone already do this with these duds?

This engine used plastic pinion gears that almost always cracked and worked off the motor shaft. The only way to repair is replace the motor assembly. The motor has a brass pinion gear pressed on. Lionel does not sell the pinion gear separately.
Thanks! I see in the pic the pinion is now brass. Bill, I'll be placing an order soon. I have another engine that needs looking at first.
