I recently purchased a used Lionel 6-82962 Southern Mikado.  When it arrived and I opened the box, I found that the boiler front was lose in the box.  I pulled everything out and tried to reattach the boiler front, but I can’t figure out how it attaches.  I would think it would be a simple fix but I’m at a loss as to how.  I’ve included some photos of what everything looks like.  Thanks for your help.

You’re going to have to separate the chassis from the boiler, ….the tongue on top of the inside of the boiler front attaches via a screw to the top of the boiler,……only way to access it is from inside…..good news is this is a fairly simple locomotive to take the shell off,…..just be careful with attached wires to the shell, so pull away slowly, noting where wires are,…
