I was looking on eBay and saw that the new run of SD70s are on there. Anybody receive one yet?

Great news, mine is on the way UP SD70ace #8415 with the US Flag, I believe....Soon, coming from Legacy Station, and I will post pictures at that time...Wow, it's been on order for So Long....I surely hope Lionel has corrected the wheel flange situation from years ago...Great post.....(6-84107) This engine will be added to 3 other large Diesels to pull long trains on an over an under dog bone type loop that's a long run...2-1/2 per cent grades, over mountains, through tunnels and fun to watch on wide radius curves...Lionel's legacy system makes this really easy, it's train TR#5...

Looks awesome in the catalog, who did you order your with? Charles Ro?
My dealer in Evansville said I was late in ordering this particular diesel and while visiting Brian at Legacy Station, near Atlanta, he looked at his pre-orders and said this was his only available unit, 6-84107 #8415 UP SD70, so I gave him a deposit. Now, it's on the way to Tennessee.
Nice! When you get it send pics and a video of you can.
Hopefully the sound file is correct.

That's what I'm worried about. Watch it be the same as the SD60Es.

That's my fear too. If the sound file is the same as the latest AF SD70ace's it's the same one used in the SD60E's. IF that is the case that's pathetic.

Do any of these have the correct sounds then?

Not sure I haven't heard any of them. My uncle gets his tomorrow, I'll post pics and videos then.
I have the same engine plus the BNSF version coming. Like to mix it up a little. The new SD45s sound great, very different with the 3tone horn.
Jim911, I have the SD45 Hi Hood Southern and the sounds are fantastic, but, I have not tried the horn...You mentioned three tone? Wow, I will check that out. Mine funs fine, sounds fine...My SD70 UP should be here soon, now I am getting really excited...Hopefully someone will do pictures with a video...I am going to learn how to do that when my grandson returns....Thanks!
The SD45 UP engines I just received have a 3 phase horn which is great and so is engine sound as you rev it up. Careful though, these engines did have history of breaking crankshafts!
It's a very beautiful piece. The horn is the same as the F40PHs. Prime mover is the same as the SD60Es.

I have the two GMDX units #72/73 coming, looking forward to getting them.
Fine by me having the same horn as the F40. That K5 recording is killer.
Curious how they handle the 036 curves..looks like a nice engine!
Any pictures of the BNSF SD70ACe?
