Lionel 60 Trolley with Motorman

Folks interested in obtaining a Postwar Lionel #60 trolley with a motorman figure should be aware that the motorman piece has been reproduced, so the trolley can be faked.
I am not really up on all the points that should be checked. Tandem associates states that the motorman version was the early one, and should have black lettering and no vents on the roof (like the one above).

Please note that I am not trying to be critical of Not LionelLLC's trolley, just trying to add more information. I don't see anything incorrect on his.

I can't quite understand the photos.  I take it the motormen are an aftermarket addition.  From what I can see, it looks like the motormen move inside of the trolley when it changes direction.  Is that correct ?

The motorman on the #60 Trolley is not an aftermarket addition. Lionel's service manual states that they were originally supplied on the trolley, but found to be ineffective and discontinued after early production.
