Yes, it can be! It also didn't help the bride told me to order it. LOL
I ordered the sound workhouse along with the plug n play pigtails. Thanks though. 
I got my Beth. Steel Trackside Crane Friday. The manual side that when programming the id of the crane the lights will flash when it has been programmed. When I was programming the crane the lights weren't flashing and thought there was an error with programming the crane. I then tried to use the crane and it was programmed to the correct id. Just wanted to pass that along. I don't know if Sean mentioned that in his video or not.
Also, I tried playing with crane using the LCS app. It works nice, but does anyone know how to change between boom, big hook, or small hook in the app?

Yes it is in the video. I believe the manual was just copied from the crane cars manual. On the crane cars there is a working Rear cab light. That would flash when programming. Sine they dropped the rear led light on the trackside crane it's not there to flash on programming. No big deal but they should of corrected the manual or kept the rear cab light! Haha. Also manual does not mention you need to set engine type to CRN (crane) to get the icons. Lionel responded and confirmed that too. Just some incorrect info in manual.

I thought they meant the front lights. I must of missed that in the manual. I agree it's no big deal. The crane and crane house is awesome.
As I mentioned above I got the crane to work in the LCS app, but can't find how to switch boom or the different hook operations in the app.

Unlikely. Probably the end of most freight cars would be OK.

Sorry about that. It is no longer available. I redid a section of my layout for something else and the Trackside crane did not fit, so I had to sell it. So I cleaned up my you tube page.
