got my new lionel BN camera caboose yesterday. it plays well with my android phone and works 100% of the time. it hates my andriod tablet wich is a samsung galaxy tab A 10.5 inch tablet. I am I doing something wrong. I followed these exact steps in order.

step 1 I place caboose on track. (witch is very clean always).

step2 log into wifi and connect to caboose wifi.

step3 open lionel app and hit the plus button to and the caboose to the app. then it shows up and says logging in...  It just stays that way and will not say online no matter how long I wait.

step4 I also tried the camera reset button and waited 5 min. then reconected to the wifi of the caboose. went back to the app and it still says cam logging in.

what am I missing or doing wrong here?

Seemed to find a fix here. just taped the gear icon and deleted the camera caboose from the menue. then powered everthing down and waited about 5 min. I then re did my steps as mentioned and wala I now have my caboose online and working on my tablet just fine. I can now power down the layout and disconnect from the camera wifi come back a few minutes later reconnect to the caboose wifi and log into the lionel app and it shows me camera online everytime. guess I was not giving the camera enough time to boot up. not sure, but I am glad its working. also took out the little window for a clearer picture. for the price this was a good deal. will probably get another one.

Alan will have to try that next. thanks this really is a neat accesory for the price. lionel could have made a better instruction manual though. just playing with the wifi app and tablet settings kinda like trial and error got me straight about how it works. its not too bad for the sometimes tech challenged people like me.

maybe someday dave can do a official lionel video on how to set these up and truoble shoot them if their is a hicup in connecting them to the app. most online videos just gloss over the tablet or phone set up or are using apple products witch as we know is a different animal than andriod. the same applies to apple people as well. I also learned some new device setting on my tablet that I did not know I had. so all in all it was a small learning curve, but well worth it. now to go to trainworlds website and get another one before they sell out of the one I want.
