Lionel crane #6-24134 on the bay | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Theres a Lionel crane 6-24134 circa 2002 on the bay thats all in parts. Item #184171142821 It states it "magnetic" but shows a bucket in the picture. Its original MSRP was $200. It looks like new. My question is, can anyone know for sure if all the parts are there? Is there a schematic for it? If there are parts missing can they be found? Would be a challenge/fun to put together. thanks

I'd look for one that you know is complete. This could easily cost more than a new one to get working.

I see them selling in the completed auctions for $170 and up. If I wanted another one, that's where I'd look.

I’d say go for it, but I hope you can get parts for it if needed. I picked up this basketcase postwar 282 at a train show... I got it going again, I love the way it sounds with the gears and clutch in it. The original black 282 cab shell was in bad shape, so I got a new old stock Union Pacific cab on the bay. I just put it on today.

An item in parts usually means that something is missing and you won’t know until you attempt to assemble the item.
