Lionel Exclusive Run Central of Georgia F3AA at Legacy Station

NICE livery! They should sell out!

I’m not a Central of Georgia fan, but I am a big fan of Lionel’s scale F3s, and that’s a sharp paint scheme. If all it takes is 25 units to make a run feasible, maybe we’ll see all kinds of F3 paint schemes we’ve never seen before.

What other F3's would you like to see? 

I have always liked them too.

I wanted to do a caboose but they wanted us to do 200.

We did not do a B unit but thanks for asking.

Central of Georgia never purchased F3 B units.  Just 9 A units in total. 

Never purchased a B unit!  Likely because they are so rare!

Gulf, Mobile and Ohio - these were used on the north end of the RR (Alco FA/PA on the South); Frisco (if they had F3's - I know that they had F-units); all-red Katy; Louisville and Nashville; Southern.

Because i am also a toy train operator, and my f3 shelf displays in ABA configuration.

Well we don't have to wait for Lionel to issue them. All you have to do is talk a dealer into making 25 of them. I think they would sell. You also have to have something similar in catalog, like the F7's and F9's. I think it is a great idea from Lionel.

Here is a nice set of GM&O's done by Atlas some years ago. They are like the proverbial hen's teeth however so someone commissioning them would be great.

C.SAM - Although that is a nice looking F unit I believe it may be a different version than the F3 which Super O Bob posted, because his pic shows only 2 portholes on the side while your Atlas model shows 3.

The Atlas model is a phase I F3, the photo of the 807B is a phase II F3.

GM&O had both.

I too would like to see F's in GM&O - esp with passenger cars.
