"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.

Post your non-O scale stuff here!

I've been a fan of the Lionel battery-powered G Gauge sets for a while now (I like that you can get them at a great price and a lot of running enjoyment out of them, especially outdoors!)

Now, they've introduced the "Ready-to-Play" line instead of the G Gauge, and in my A/B comparison with some G Gauge track, the new sets (RtP) are just a hair wider in gauge than G (enough to be frustrating and wonder why they did that!)

Anyway, Barnes & Noble has a Lionel RtP set with the 4-4-0, gondola and caboose on sale for $49.99.  Going to pick one up tonight!

On a side note, if you have an Ollie's store nearby, they have the Pennsy Flyer ($49.99, mostly sold out) and Coca-Cola G Gauge ($59.99) sets, now an extra 25% off.

I know some folks turn their noses up at this particular range of offerings from Lionel, but I find the sets fun, cheap, good running and a nice alternative to running my other gauges!  A great and economical way to run some trains and forget the real world for a bit for not a lot of money!

Also a fan of the Battery powered G Gauge set. I searched Barnes and Noble in 2 coasts (E & W) did not see any seta for sale before or after Christmas. Which B & N was the set at?
