So my layout has been having an issue with loss of power in a critical area, and I took apart some of the trackage this morning, to discover that the issue was my O-61 switch, the only switch on the layout that I cannot remove and replace with something else. At least, not without major trackwork. For some reason, there is no power going to the large section of the center rail at all, and I cannot fathom why. Any ideas?
I took the bottom plate of the switch off and noticed that the tab that seems to connect the two ends of the switch were discolored, as if they had been under a lot of heat. Does this help anyone with advice?
