Ladies & Gentlemen,

My repaired Legacy 990 unit arrived home safely today, took Lionel minimal time to repair her, will let you know how she works this coming Christmas season.  I want to publicly thank Lionel for standing behind their product, right down to the shipping cost.  Further I just purchased a new Legacy GP9 to help Lionel's bottom line.

Thanks for many years of enjoyment Lionel!

Pine Creek, you are a lot more trusting than I am.  I'd have that 990 out and putting it through its paces just to make sure it works.  No way could I wait until Christmas to test it.  Good luck with it.

I just got my back yesterday.  The repair report said they tighten the throttle knob and upgraded it to the newest software.  Now the problem, when I sent it I purchase another one, because I didn't want to be out a month and expanding the layout I could use two controllers. Now the question can you use a base with one software version with a handheld of another version?  Or do I have to upgrade my base and other handheld?

Might want to wait a few weeks before going to 1.53. Rumor has it 1.54 is in the wings.  Minor bug fixes.

Since it's so easy to upgrade them, why not just bring them all up to 1.53?

Gentlemen,

Usually I would test out a repaired piece of equipment, however right now everything is pack away, and I am leaving for Potter/Tioga tomorrow morning at 6:30.  No time to test her now, maybe after Fly Fishing season is over, late August or so.  Got to make some money to pay for my Addiction, Guns needs to be payed for upgrading my Tin Plate Engine & Tender.
