I recently had a problem with the Legacy gantry crane released in 2016 operating by it self without using the legacy remote.Specifically when i powered up the track the hook immediately began to move up and jammed at the top of the boom.The only way to stop it was to shut the power off. My layout is both TMCC and dcs controlled ,Does any body have any suggestions what or why this is happening?

Just a FYI, I have both Legacy and DCS and the same Legacy Gantry crane. Nothing like that has yet happened here? I can't think of anything that might cause this? Maybe some of the more knowledgeable Legacy/TMCC folks will be along with suggestions/ideas.

That is the problem...it's operating without any input from the Legacy remote.
Sounds like either a bad board or a stuck boost/brake button on the remote. My bet is bad board.
Try unplugging all Command bases and then power up the track. If it still does it, it's a bad board.
