Lionel Legacy H-10 Problem

Is it possible this could be related to dirty track or wheels/contacts etc? 

This doesn't sound like dirty track, sounds like you have a problem.  You'll just have to wait until Lionel is back to work.

Do other legacy locomotives on that same track with the same 990 Command work OK?

I tried cleaning the track and rollers, etc. Its the only Legacy engine I have, although I have the new Atlantic due out the end if June ordered. Thanks for the replies!

Mine would not run at all using legacy remote, only as a conventional locomotive with no sound. Returned it for credit, nobody should have to wait for service at these prices. I have had few issues with the many Legacy and Vision Line engines I have, and will not accept a bad one.

I feel your pain; DOM on mine is 08/31/18; has been running fine for about 10 hours of run time; however, there is another problem with this model that I discovered today - the sound card goes intermittent.  There is another post on the forum about the sound card.

How long did you have it before you returned it for credit? Ive had mine about 2 1/2 months. Love the sound and slow operating speeds. If You have to wait until after July 4 to send it in I would think there will be a big backlog of repairs. 

74 days, they had a 30 day return policy. I agreed to pay the return shipping if they took it back.

Yep, we know about this one, and there's a fix. Lionel H10 Audio Cutout Issue
