I just received my Lionel N&W 1218 back from Seattle, WA. Bruk brought my engine into the Legacy whistle smoke age. I’m very pleased with his work and the outcome. I had a few personal requests and he was able to do them all. The drawbar was shortened, new tires were installed, and a separate switch for the main smoke and the whistle smoke were installed. After 21 years of waiting for a reissue that may never happen I took the plunge and I’m very happy. Here’s a quick video I shot of the 1218 pulling the original passenger cars that it was cataloged with. I’m going to post an additional video tomorrow of a 611 and 1218 doubleheader. Something that I’ve always wanted to do but operating systems were always incompatible. Thanks again Bruk! First class job!

Bruk has often done upgrades like this, and often times has donor boards to use. Besides Lionmaster board as above, I believe some engines have the same sounds, of course some aren't. I remember he used a different engine board that was Legacy to install into what was TMCC. This is especially interesting when he works to add smoking whistles into the project.

Understood, the sounds seemed specific on this one, and didn't realize a Lionmaster version was produced. So I was trying to figure out just how much magic Bruk was capable of, not that I ever doubted him!

Lots of magic. He is very meticulous when getting the devil in the details. He works extremely hard into the design and problem solving. Should look up some of his works like designing smoking whistles and other such projects for engines.

This conversion used the sound board from a Legacy LionMaster Class A. The RCMC board is from the N&W Y6b. I wanted to put articulated double/ drift chuff in the loco. But Lionel doesn’t have a sound board that uses this whistle and bell....yet.
