How are you supposed to wire it  / use it? I figured once it was hooked up and the lights going, the knife switches would be set to use. No. I removed the plate that holds the switch panel on and it's not connected to the main terminals at all. Gotta wire to each knife switch individually? To those ridiculously small screws? I mean SMALL!! And it would be a million wires. What am I missing?

Thanks

Nothing missing, that is 1920's high tech design.

These Switch Towers and Power Houses were on the floor toys to be set up and run by kids and their parents.

The switches were for track sidings or lights.

The original screw were much larger and ugly.

The MTH & Lionel repos are mainly used for layout decor not operating the layout.

If you want to operate the 437, I would use it with small light gauge  wires to control relays hidden under the layout.
