6 dash number???

The number on the instruction manual is 71-8334-250    12/00.

That's the part number for the instruction sheet, which came with about five different items. It's best to get in the habit of providing the 6- number off of the end of the item's box.

The pantograph insulators for the MU cars are available from Lionel: 610-8304-075. I'm not sure why your pantographs would be falling off -- all the insulators do is provide stability. They don't help with securing the pantograph to the roof.

Lastly, you'll need to provide more information with the operational problems you're having. Which lights don't work -- the headlights and/or interior? Also, are you working on a powered or dummy unit? Are you operating in TMCC or conventional modes?

I'm afraid that absent any concrete information about the product you have (or the answering of my questions above), I can't get specific in providing any help.

But as a piece of generic advice, make sure you haven't accidentally turned off the headlights (AUX2) and the interior lights (AUX1-9) via TMCC.

Do a restore feature AUX code.  The number to use is in your manual.   Open the car and re seat all the boards.  Did you buy this as a running/operating set?   When you look for help, more information is needed.  Aside from the 6 dash number, what roadname???
