I saw that as well. The PRR car is the first one produced for the PRR back in 1916 or so. Don't know how long the prototype remained that way until collision posts were added. The New Haven car would be correct without the collision posts I believe.

On the next page and also shown in the previous catalog, there is a Boston and Maine version. I think when these cars were built for the B&M they did not have collision posts as built and I am thinking that the B&M did not add them.

 

I wonder if the new cars without smoke will come with a scale stack installed.

How about illuminated marker lights?????   Maybe instead of the smoke unit?????
