I actually had two orders. One placed on Friday and one placed Sunday. The Sunday order was just for some Bettendorf trucks and has already arrived. The other one still says pending fulfillment.

Same here. I placed an order Friday morning and later realized I had forgotten an item so I placed a second order Saturday evening. Received the second order Tuesday and am still waiting on the first one (shows pending fullfilment). However no time was wasted in charging my credit card.

I placed my order before any of you at 12:05 am on 9/23/22 and my status shows "Pending Fulfillment" over a week later.

Am I the only one with a delayed order?

I am in the same situation with the "pending fulfillment" status.    I placed my order at 12:04am on 9/23/22,   but after paying,  checking out and receiving my order confirmation I noticed that nothing on my order(including the total) received the 50% off.   In addition,  the date on my order confirmation showed 9/22/23.    I phoned customer support at approx. 9:30am that morning(9/23/22) and was told that shouldn't have happened.   The woman then applied the 50% discount to the order and sent me a revised order confirmation(but the order date still showed 9/22/22) along with the statement the order should be shipped within 24-48 hours.   The following week(9/27/22) I logged into my Lionel account to check the order and saw the "pending fulfillment" status along with a bright orange re-order block  under each item and the total.   Never saw this in any of my previous parts sale orders so I called Lionel again.   Due to Lionel having to revise my original order,  I thought that I might have to re-order everything but I was told my order was good and not to click on any of the orange blocks.  So here we are at Oct 1 with my order still showing "pending fulfillment" and now some parts that I ordered at 12:04am(4minutes after the sale started) are showing up as "out of stock".   This may sound selfish,  but most businesses fulfill orders in the order in which they are received.   Just my opinion.

Define "Most".

I totally understand your frustration as relayed in the first part of your post but ...

I order many things online.  For me, when multiple orders are placed it's actually quite rare that they're shipped in the sequence they're ordered, especially from sources like:

Amazon, Best Buy, Home Depot, Menards, OfficeMax, Lowes, Office Depot, NAPA, Rock Auto, AutoZone, Grainger, McMaster Carr, DigiKey, and Mouser.

The delivery rearrangement could be for any number of reasons.

Maybe they temporarily can't find some of your parts?  Maybe they don't have the correct size of shipping box or envelope handy, or are temporarily out of stock on the specific shipping supplies needed to fill your order?  Maybe one or more shipments of parts are coming in from one or more suppliers and not yet there?

Why should Lionel required to be any different than the big guys?

Mike
