BTW, here's a great tip if you are in NJ, you DON'T have to be a member of Costco to purchase the Costco gas. This arrangement allowed Costco to set up their own gas stations. Notice, I said Costco Gas. For the store and business center, you DO need to be a member to enter!

In New York, you don't need to be a member at any of the warehouse clubs(BJ's, Sam's, CostCo) to purchase beer in the store.

No big deal, though, it's much cheaper at Wegmans, where you can(historically, anyway) buy Lionel trains w/o a membership.

A5E79937-3E0E-4DEA-A29C-EF57EDAA778Eat the south central KC Costco location, the set looked a little odd and the loco was on its side in back of the track circle. Made a few minor tweaks and shot the video as I had never seen this set run before. I see why it’s popular and quickly realized the quality to price ratio.

Any Train running is better than any train boxed up.

But Rob, Wegmans isn't everywhere. Only recently  are they making strides in the NYC metro area... abeit in the more "affluent" areas.

I fondly recall that Wegman's up until a few years ago had Lionel make conventional  rtr 0-8-0 starter sets and also a few additional freight cars for them but alas, those days are gone. I have a few of those Wegman's sets NIB if anyone is interested in acquiring them.

Ugh, that chuffing sound certainly isn't synchronized with the speed the engine is moving. Btw, I recall the Ollie's stores is S.E. Pa. selling both the PE  and Hogwarts Express G Gauge sets for less than $40 last holiday season.

BTW, late last spring, a few Barnes and Noble retailers were unloading NIB Harry Potter Lionchief sets left over from their past Christmas inventory for $99.99. Boy, I could kick myself now many times over for not driving the hour to pick up those sets!!!
