I understand the rumor says you will not do diecast es44’s again, however, how about another with the chase LEDs in the GE Hybrid “brother” paint scheme? Maybe in the hybrid brass series?

I Like the “dusty” orange look with the other GE Hybrid colors.

Neither, you guys just love giving away your money. No diesel needs to be Diecast and how many berks do we need?

Dave

Obviously Dave,  just one more Berk.   Please! lol

be careful what you wish for.  each new Lionel version of NKP 765 keeps getting...."worse".

not sure how that is possible....but it's happened.

In your opinion as the Berkshire President,   Which is better, Lionel’s 2010, 2014, or 2017 release?

Haha....yes.  The president of all things Berkshire!

2010 hands down.  That's the one I have.  I like it all in black, no mars light. and no white paint on the drivers.  And loco specific ID crew talk....which, as hokey as it can be at times, matters to me.

2017 is the bottom of the barrel for me....which is too bad b/c I really would have liked a Lionel NKP 759.  But not at this price and not that....wrong.

I cancelled my 2014 version I had on order from RO once I saw it online.  It didn't come close to the catalog picture, I don't like the white on driver wheels, and I don't like the too light grey paint.  At all.  But it does have whistle steam.  I find the 2014 version acceptable...I Just like 2010 better.

Interestingly enough, all three Lionel scale 765 have "Fonts" that are too big on the tender and loco graphics.

In contrast, the 2003 TMCC version of 779 has an almost perfect "font" size and a very subtle graphite grey on the smoke box and firebox that I think looks really sharp.  Would have loved to have seen this one with Railsounds 5, slightly better smoke.....and four chuffs.

Dave, thanks for your honesty.  I agree with you, I prefer the all black version also.     I wanted a 765 and wasn’t doing my homework well enough and purchased a 2017 version.     I am not a fan of the gray coloring, but do love the engine.      Next time I’ll pay closer attention.          I have several VisionLine Steam Engines but really like the size of the Berk.

Maybe Lionel will surprise us one day.

Thanks
