After several nights of work, I completed my upgrade of the prr conventional speeder. I removed both original boards, cab light, and flashing light. Installed a mini commander 2. Changed the cab light to a led. The flasher was replaced with a blinking led. Installed new leds for the directional lighting since the original LEDs were part of the original boards. I then added a backing behind the seats to hide the board as well as cover all the back windows.  the cab light is much brighter than the original gow bulb. Came out very well. It was a fun project.

Just for clarity, for those that did not see my other thread....

The flasher led would not flash when connected to the light outputs with the resistor. What was found was the half wave power is not clean dc power required for the flasher. Adding a 22uf cap across the led cleans up the power and fixes the flashing.

A big thanks to gunrunner John for the tip which fixed the problem.
