Dave, thank you. I know it can sometimes seem that folks expect everything to be compatible with everything, but hopefully this one will be doable. I'm much more comfortable giving my grandchildren a Cab1 (with the antenna mostly retracted) than my Cab2 or my iPad. The Cab1 (and I have two of them) has hit the concrete floor of the basement and survived. If the Cab2 or iPad hit the floor, I don't know if I would survive! I'd be happy to pick up a SER2 and a cable to make it work.

Yup, it works. I had to buy a null modem to connect the Base1 to the SER2 properly, but confirmed functionality with the Base3.

By time you get done buying the cable and null, you might be better off just getting a Cab-1L!
