Hello. I have a fully landscaped 16' x 20' Lionel Super "O" layout. I started with Super "O" in 1960 and have always been pleased with its appearance and reliability. When you add ballast to the track, it looks extremely realistic. Lionel did an amazing job when they designed this track with its two outer "t-rails" and the copper center power rail which blends in with the realistic ties. It's easy to assemble and the electrical conductivity is outstanding. Don't believe the critics who claim that the center power rail cuts grooves in the contact rollers. Any power rail will cause that to happen if you don't keep your track clean. Why Lionel has never reissued Super "O" with larger radius curves and longer switches baffles me. They had a great product. After 63 years of use, my Super "O" track is still outstanding!
