It was a light tower with a searchlight car top on it. It came with a telegraph key with a buzzer built into it. The tower used a blinking bulb installed in it. You could send Morse code with it...for a short while. When the bulb heated and you were trying to send a code,it would start to blink on and off,and messing the code up you were trying to send!

The 299 does not print anything. The tower comes with a telegraph key with a decal with the morse code printed on it. The light will blink by itself if not connected to the key. The tower should be connected to a variable power source so that the bulb does not get overheated and burn out.

 

I don't have one but this is the information that  I could find out by searching on the Internet. The price varies with the condition but somewhere around $100 to $125 is what I can find in one of the price guides.
