The Associated Hobby Manufacturers' cars were made in Austria. Bernie Paul, their President, said that Lionel went to the same factory to have Standard 0 made, and somehow, the same molds were used for the bodies. It was after he noticed that Lionel was forced to make some settlement.

It is possible to swap floors complete with trucks and couplers between the 2 brands. I did that with an AHM flat car before Lionel made flats in Standard 0.
