When I connect the Lionel WIFI module to the back of the Legacy base, after the DZ-2001 Data Wire Driver module, it kills the signal to all of the DZ-2500 switch machines. Is there a fix for this problem?

Or are the two products just not meant to work together?

Any thoughts?

The RS232 output from the Legacy base is only capable of a single RS232 load. You need to buy the SER2 module and plug it into your WIFI module, then go to your tracks. The output of the SER2 is then capable to drive your DZ2001. That's why they offer it...a known issue with using the Legacy RS232 output for accessories.

Yep, I have the SER2, WiFi, and four of the CSM2 boxes on my system, no sweat at all.  I'm using the DZ-2001 to drive all the switch machines as the there's a oddball timing issue with the CSM2 serial data output and the DZ-2500.  About every 4th or 5th power up of the layout, all the DZ-2500's would cease to respond to TMCC if I used the CSM2 serial data.  Went back to the DZ-2001 and all is well.  Until I sort it out, I'll use the DZ-2001 to supply the serial data.
