I bought the unit from Eliot and he couldn't find the manual. Boxcar Bill gave me the link so I'm halfway there!

The switch on the locomotive is the run/program switch.

The rheostat in the tender under the coal load is the RailSounds volume.

So what is the switch on the bottom of the tender for?

BTW - Who needs a manual when you have OGR!

Based on the era, I'd go with the SinglSounds/RailSounds switch. SignalSounds gave you just the bell and whistle, while RailSounds gave you the full package. Very common for this era.
