My Lionmaster Cab Forward #6-11107 rear trucks stop working front truck turn fine. I being running the unit for about 4 years and its been running fine.

I did fine the part diagram on the Lionel site but there is only so much you can figure out from diagram.

I hoping someone can point me where to start to find the problem and what the best steps to follow would be.

All ideas welcome.

I don't see very well... but, are the rear drivers quartered properly?  Can you take two more photos one of each side of the rear drivers.  If they are not quartered properly they will not turn.  It's not totally uncommon for drive rods to slip.  Look at your front Drivers for reference.  Don't force them.

If your comfortable removing the shell. I'd check for a broken wire going to the motor powering the second set of drivers.

This is a somewhat common issue on the Lionmaster articulateds. The wires flex back and forth as the driver set pivots around turns. The tighter the turns the more back and forth.

Over time the wire breaks at the motor terminal. A couple minutes and a soldering iron and it will be good as new.

I took the shell off and the motor wire was off. Thanks for the tip.

However now the engine only runs about 3 feet and stops at a quarter throttle. As I turn up the throttle it goes about 3 feet again a stops until I hit ¾ throttle then it just races around the track at high speed.

I tried reprogramming the engine with code 74 but it did not make a difference.

I must have done something when I had the shell off but not sure what.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
