does anyone know if lionel cancelled the lionchief plus 2.0 allegheny

just searched lionel store and can't find them anywhere

i never preorder but it would be a shame if it was cancelled because i've wanted a lionmaster allegheny for years since a full scale one may never happen for my layout due mostly to curves

Cody, you do realize this is a $1,000 locomotive, right? Based on your previous posts, I wouldn’t think you would even be considering this one.

K-Line made a neat Allegheny that works on O-31 track. It's slightly under scale, but looks very good. I have a C & O with TMCC and RailSounds and love it. I think it looks better than MTH's RailKing allegheny.

I agree. The K-Line Allegheny has great details, is small, and affordable. Just may be just the ticket for you.

FWIW, I'm thinking that the tooling from the K-Line locomotive is what Lionel is using for the Lionmaster Allegheny as I don't believe it was ever in the Lionmaster line in the past.

It might be because of the difference in size, but I seem to like the Rail King Allegheny better, ( I have the K-Line Virginian and the Rail-King C&O ) especially since I had it converted into TMCC. It also will handle O-31 curves

I might be convinced to part with my upgraded K-Line Allegheny, it got ERR Cruise, fan driven smoke, Super-Chuffer, & upgraded LED lighting.

you have a good point the Allegheny is really expensive too expensive given my current situation

i need to pick something different but i really want to experience lionchief plus 2.0 so ive decided to go smaller what that engine will be though i don't know yet a little docksider or even a tier 4 (being generous) might fit the bill

I’m hoping the Brooklyn Eastern District Terminal Docksider shows up in June. I have one pre-ordered. For about $250, the LionChief Plus 2.0 Docksiders aren’t a bad deal at all.

According to a post on Facebook by Henning's Trains this morning, the LC2.0 Alleghenys were cancelled by Lionel due to low order numbers.

I'm hoping to get a couple of the LC+ 2.0 dockside switchers when they drop, and I'm hoping that actually happens.
