Thank gosh for that late night car with booze service!

On the diesel train on the Port Jeff line it was known as "Tommy's Tavern on the Tracks". It ran on the 5:44 out of Hunter's Point.

After going 40 minutes without a stop (Jamaica to Greenlawn) one would have thought the car was on fire with all of the cigarette smoke pouring out when the doors finally opened. Now THAT would be a car to model with a smoke unit!

Back in the day, when I smoked, I used to hit the bar car on the eastbound out of Penn to Huntington. I was still living at home and I was not allowed in the house until I changed my clothes in the garage. The beer was always ice cold though.

Thanks Arnold. The coffee maker is the Coffee Urn from Twin Whistle Sign & Kit. It comes unpainted. I brush painted just a few details to make them show better.

Here's a slightly blurry photo of the coffee urn as bought.

After painting a few details. Flat black for the base. Gold for the coffee spigots and sight glass caps. And gloss brown for the coffee levels in the sight glasses. Left the rest in the base cast metal color since it looked liked stainless steel.

john A, Thank you for the information about the NightHawks kit available from Wit and Wisdom Models.com . I just ordered the Full Scene Kit @ $275.30 including the shipping. I love Hopper's painting and have wanted to model it for years. There was a write up about John Armstrong's model years ago, and I believe John Sethian (sp?) also built a model too. That there is now a kit, which eliminates all the front end work of creating drawings, and gathering parts, I am thrilled! The kit even includes the "little people" specifically made for the interior of the dinner. Thank you again! Can hardly wait to get the kit.

Question...I purchased those cheap 1:50 seating figures made in China to install in my Railking passenger cars. Problem is most don't fit in the seats. I have tried removing the legs, shaving the butts but nothing  works well. It seems to me that the divider between each bench seat could be the cause of the problem. Should this divider be somehow removed? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
