Years ago, I found on ebay  people that you had to glue the arms on, can't find or remember who made them, I was going to try HO sitting people, think I have some of my dad's was going to see how they look. I have the same problem, if you find anything post it. Good Luck! Mark

Every time it seems that any moonshine scene shows up on a model train forum, I get an IM or email from someone asking why I don't have one. Got an email for that one, just now.

I model the rural Blue Ridge area, during WW2. Of course there were moonshiners in that area. Heck, my Mom's uncles were moonshiners who were not to trifled with (having learned how to protect, hid and defend the still's location from their time in the trenches of WW1).

But those moonshiners knew how to hide a still. My dad practically lived outdoors growing up there. He doesn't recall ever coming across seven a busted up still. Mom found a long-abandoned still site once. But neither even met anyone who came across a still site in use or ready for use. You'd never see a still out in the open.

But in WW2, not much moonshining was being done anyway. the able-bodied men were either in uniform or working in the rayon mills downtown and the 'fixings' were impossible to find anyway.

So, when visitors ask where my still is on my layout, I'll point to a wooded corner and say, "It's back in there," and some will actually lean in hoping to spot it!

Gandydancer, here are some HO people I put in my vista dome car (railking) took some picture maybe this will help you out I hot glued, RMT has some sitting people. I have some HO people from my dad the people he had were bigger. They don't look bad wish they were a little bigger. Hope this helps you out Mark.

John, this guy was in a Woodland Scenics package of 5 or 6 figures  (I think it was called Pedestrians) that I bought from my LHS on Friday.

Thanks for the compliment Jim!!   Actually the Beer Depot is a building I found advertised in OGR back in the mid to late 2000s.  I told my brother about it and he gave it to me for Christmas that year.   It was made by a woman who lived in New England.  Each one she made was unique unto itself.  I'm guessing she labeled the cases with a various different varieties of beer for each individual Depot.

The Beer Depot is illuminated and comes with interior showing a cash register and beer cases inside.

I use it in my Brewtown neighborhood of Patsburg where there is a brewery, keg warehouse, and the Beer Depot serves as a wholesale beer outlet.

In the photo you will see Otis, with a disheveled appearance at the left.  He's the Beer Depot " quality control expert"  LOL!

Patrick, maybe your little people at your beer depot might like to sell some beer to Sully's Tavern:

Bought some Chinese figures off the 'Bay, and have been painstakingly painting them with Vallejo paints.
My painting is not great, and takes forever, but some figures like below I think turned out OK (painted and as recieved)
Looking to populate my city so I need lots of figures and wanted a wide variety of colors so I felt it best to just paint each one for cost and variety.

I paint them in batches, but still only have about 3 complete and around 147 to go.  The hobby is meant to take up my time and relax, so I am definitely achieving that...

Dave Great job A suggestion Get some  very fine artist pens With them you can use a red one to give your figures lips and use black blue or green to just dot them to and thus give your figures eyes

Thanks for the idea.  I have the smallest artist pen I could find locally, which is small enough to do ties but not eyes and mouth.  I may have to look online for something smaller, though not sure I have a steady enough hand for that.

I’m curious as to whether there is a best option for sitting figures that fit into passenger cars. Does it matter which passenger cars they need to fit into? I’m currently thinking about upgrading the interiors of my Lionchief Santa Fe cars.

Really depends on the particular car. I've seen some interiors where you wouldn't be able to squeeze a fully articulated figure into the space between the seats unless they were a contortionist. Most pre-made interiors are designed to be seen from outside of the car, thought seems to not be given to actual interior spacing.
