I’m about to take on adding a second TIU for my large passenger terminal, expecting to use 2 channels with each channel covering 4 tracks and their approximate portion of associated mini-blocks in all the switchwork out to the terminal throat, out of 8 platform tracks, to make sure there is no issue with current level for multiple engines and lighted cars.  The “root” is two carefully wired MTH terminal blocks (one for each channel) to correctly feed power and signal, divided and then going directly from a terminal block to each of the various blocks of track separated by center rail gaps, for that channel.  I know there are plenty of secondary questions about signal etc etc, but my only question for today is about TIU locations, the distance between them.  Also understand this may be overkill from the standpoint of concern about total current draw, but prefer it that way.  At times there may be multiple 7-car lighted trains with 4 motors in the engines, on these 8 platform tracks.  I think I know the answer to the TIU location question, but confirmation would be appreciated.

If I understand the needs of Super TIU mode, it doesn’t matter if the second TIU is 25 feet away across the room where I prefer to place it, close to the passenger station’s terminal blocks, for the best signal strength to all those tracks.  The TIU’s don’t communicate with each other directly, they only communicate with the remotes.  All that matters is that both TIU’s and all remotes are properly set up in Super TIU mode “by the book”.

Do I have it right for that one question? Thanks
