Yes John,  a sad sight to see. I took this picture of the engine service facility on Louis Ertz’s O Scale West Tennessee Central Railroad in its last days before it was taken down.

Louis had been gone for many years before I had the opportunity to see the WTC RR. His massive collection of brass locomotives, brass passenger cars and brass freight cars was long gone.

Thanks for checking out the pictures. I never had the pleasure to meet Louis but having the opportunity to be involved with the WTC during the last couple of years of its existence was indeed an honor. After seeing the WTC for the first time I was ready to rip the third rail out of my layout!

What’s left of the WTC is now in Bald Knob Arkansas at the Arkansas Travelers Hobby shop. Maybe someday parts of it it will be up and running again.

Richard it is a pleasure continuing the Keil Line as I knew John before he started Keil line. In fact I talked to Martha Keil (she's doing great) a couple of hours ago as today is the 2nd anniversary of us finishing loading the semi truck in Wonder Lake. We both enjoy continuing on the line as well as bringing more items to market. Take a look at our new website more pics, products as well as KD, Tichy, Tru- color paint. Intermountain wheel sets and the complete line of Arttista . Much more is planned.

Mine is just a small 2 spur humble area just off of the 'main.'

I'd like to find the MTH fuel and water hose set to add for desiel locomotives, but they are impossible to find.  I'm also thinking of ways I can add on to one of the stalls on the engine shed so I can have covered parking for my Big Boy.  But with smaller steamers I can get 3-5 parked and ready to go when duty calls.

Getting into O scale, I am always having questions on where items can be found, so, if I may, where did you get the sanding tower in front of your engine house?  I’ve seen the coal tower before, but since I’m modeling present day, I don’t want a coal tower.

Well...........I cannot take credit for it. It was a custom built for me by Jim at "BRIDGEBOSS" a number of years ago. At one point, Jim produced a lot of cool bridges plus an elevated track system. When I contacted him about the build, he was also moving into structures. This was around 6 or 7 years ago. However, all of that has changed and unfortunately, all Jim and BRIDGEBOSS produce anymore is their excellent elevated track system.

You may want to look for a Berkshire Valley kit that looks very similar to mine in the pic. I have one of those kits from years ago that I never built. I am not sure if Berkshire Valley is still "in the business".

Berkshire is in business, and has some great detail pieces, but the engine House is not one of them.

This custom layout was one of the first ones we fabricated in our McGowan Street Studio and Roger thoroughly enjoyed designing this for Tom who was an Engineer for the Santa Fe RR back in the day
