I had the trucks come apart from the body of my MTH Canadian Pacific dummy B unit. Took it apart & found in compartment where the speaker would be located a “Set of sockets”. They all fit snugly in place. I can’t imagine that this was done in the factory. I did buy these from a fellow OGR member. Anyway, fixed the truck & bundled all back together sockets & all.

The person you purchased it from may have put them there for better tracking purposes. The dummy may have been too light and was derailing on his layout. Thus he added these sockets to weigh the dummy down.
