@Mannyrock, I presume the poster is looking for what is traditionally called "tubular track" which has over a century of manufacture.
Postwar is generally accepted to be 1945-1969 (Get a quick history here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lionel_Corporation ).

If you are a TCA member, their quarterly publication has has a few articles on Lionel tubular track variations and geometry as well. This hobby has so many facets and niches it is almost unbelievable.
