Hello,

I'm looking for the manual for a Lionel Smithsonian streamlined PRR K4 pacific.  This is a 2 rail model.  I looked over the Lionel website and could not find any such manual.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I would gladly accept any copies thereof.

Fred,

Thanks so much.  I did not realize that it was a Kohs product.  There are 2 switches; one under the tender and one under the engine. I do not know what they control.  The instruction sheets that you sent me do not mention these switches at all.

Does anyone have one of these models and operates it on a layout?

To my knowledge there were only 3 of these Smithsonian engine models offered:  PRR K4, NYC Dreyfus Hudson and a German 2-10-0.

Also offered were the passenger train sets of the NYC 20th Century Limited and the PRR Broadway Limited.

Thanks Frank

Sorry for the confusion but I only need the owners manual or a copy of one, not the model itself

Steve,
I would think that Frank was inferring that maybe "Close Out Train" (since they have one for sale) would have an owners manual that could be copied for you.

Steve,

I noticed that the instructions on the KOHS website are a four page document in two pages; so they look to be incomplete (left side of the first page is the fourth page!). So if you read in the right order you can find that one switch on the tender is for the sound system; the other on the loco for the smoke unit.

I have a 2-rail Dreyfuss Hudson which also came without instructions; I thought the sound was very poor and I did not like the batteries and the many loco/tender connections, so I complete removed (or jumpered) all the wiring and now I have a pure DC locomotive which is running nicely silently:

Regards

Fred

While I was typing TEDW already noticed this page problem
