Hi all,

I recently moved into a home and discovered a huge multi-layer railroad spanning most of my attic.  If my research is correct, the track is "O-gauge", maybe O-27?   I estimate there are several hundred feet of it.  The straight sections are as large as 35" and less, with many curved pieces of various sizes.  The track includes the connecting pins and ties, stamped with "Lionel."  There is a large control box (home-made?) and other various other track accessories--something that looks like a bridge (about 2 feet long) and a few other plastic pieces.  There are no cars or engines.  I would like to sell the track for $3 per 10" + shipping.  If there is interest I can post more photos of the track and control box.

Thanks Jim, you're a joy.  For the rest that gave me some helpful information, thanks!  Here's a few photos, I did not go all the way around the attic but it should give you an idea.  Since it seems this track is almost worthless given the cost of shipping I'll probably see if anyone local is interested.  Thanks again.

This thread is closed.... We got several alerts on this thread and so we had to spend almost 30 minutes reading through and editing/deleting "discussion" in this thread.  Why?...well,  just about every rule was broken here as the thread kept getting bumped to the top with all of the discussion going on, etc.   There is way too much discussion going on in the for sale/trade forum these days.  This causes other's listings to get bumped downward more quickly which is not fair....  If you want to discuss details about Errol's track and layout, then do so elsewhere and not in the for sale/trade category....
