I caught a video on Youtube on the Lionel Voice Control feature and I thought it was kind of cool. I guess I like controlling trains with the controller but I could see myself kicking back and declaring my demands are met The fast speed was awfully quick though considering the delay between saying "stop" and when it actually stops. I could see myself getting into this if we could adjust the speeds on the speed commands or just project our own voice through the locomotive. It could be a lot of fun!

Anybody else change their opinion after seeing the voice control thing in action?

If I had to guess, I'm pretty sure this wasn't made for someone running a large layout with lots of trains but a loop on the carpet or a small layout with minimal trains.  I give Lionel a lot of credit for doing what they can to bring younger folks into the fold.  You old fogies go back to your remotes and transformer handles and let the kids play.  That's what I'm doing.  Now where are those dang glasses?  I can't tell if this button is smoke on or off.  LOL!

I hope they're successful with these new features bringing the young guns into the fold. I could definitely see myself using this with a train under the Christmas tree.
