G'morning! The laying of the "Golden Spike" on my layout will be closing a walk- through with an Atlas single track truss bridge. I am using Ross track. The mating pins included in the bridge kit are very fragile and okay if you never plan on moving the bridge once installed....so I've ruled out using the pins. Most of the time I'll probably duck under it BUT how can I arrange to have the track reliably line up when the bridge is replaced after I have removed it. Powering it up will be easy but I can foresee a world of nasty derailments in my future If I can't get rails lined up and stable.
Atlas Double Track Bridge. Bridge is installed with plug-in circuits to power the bridge tracks. Click on the underlined phrase to link. Upper left control panel, start slideshow.
You'll probably need to create some pins under the bridge ends to line up with matching pin holes on the layout structure.
That is what I've done. works great.
This lift up (rather than out) install is very nicely done. It may give you some ideas.
